Volunteer

Volunteers at Father Bills & MainSpring are vitally important members of our community. In fact, nearly every meal is served by a team of volunteers. To learn more or become a volunteer, please visit our Meal-a-Month page. Father Bill's Place is currently seeking volunteers to fill the following positions:

Direct Care

Father Bills & MainSpring runs two 24-hour emergency shelters and can use volunteers to assist in our staff station. Direct care volunteers have frequent contact with shelter guests. Responsibilities include answering phones, photocopying, faxing, and assisting the shelter staff in various daily tasks.

Resource Room

Father Bills & MainSpring has a resource room at each shelter, equipped with phones, computers and internet access, to enable our shelter guests to search for housing and employment. Resource Room volunteers help guests use the computers and assist with writing resumes and cover letters. You must be available in the evenings to fill this position.
